Seemingly comfortably ensconced in his charming Connecticut home, Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, is struggling to overcome a "dry" spell that has resulted in a string of failures and a shortage of funds. A possible break in his fortunes occurs when he receives a script from a student in the seminar he has been conducting at a nearby college - a thriller that Sidney recognizes immediately as a potential Broadway hit. Sidney's plan, which he devises with his wife's help, is to offer collaboration to the student, an idea that the younger man quickly accepts. Thereafter, suspense mounts steadily as the plot begins to twist and turn with devilish cleverness, and with such an abundance of thrills and laughter, that audiences will be held enthralled until the final, startling moments of the play.

2008-2009 Season
by David Lindsay-Avaire
Feb 20, 2009 - Mar 16, 2009
Claire has a rare form of psychogenic amnesia that erases her memory whenever she goes to sleep. This morning, like all mornings, she wakes up a blank slate. But there is something different about this morning. Maybe it's the limping man under her bed...or the kidnapping...or the visit to her stroke-impaired mother...or the man with the foul-mouthed puppet. Whatever it is, every twist and turn in this fun house plot bring Claire closer to revealing her past life and everything she thought she'd forgotten. It's one harrowing and hilarious turn after another on this roller coaster ride through the day of an amnesiac trying to decipher her fractured life. This poignant and brutal new comedy traces one woman's attempt to regain her memory while surrounded by a curio-cabinet of alarmingly bizarre characters.

2008-2009 Season
by Tracy Letts
Apr 3, 2009 - Apr 27, 2009
We’ve always liked Tracy Letts. He wrote Bug, a smash hit for Who Wants Cake? in 2008, and he won a Pulitzer Prize for his scathing play August: Osage County. Well, we are going back a few years to present Killer Joe, his sensational first play. Killer Joe, a hardened ex-cop, is hired by the greedy Smith family, a dim witted clan wanting to do away with mother to get her insurance money. With more blood, more violence, and, yes, more nudity, Killer Joe is truly outrageous!
