i cannot believe it is THAT time of year again! the Wilde Award Nominations were just announced today and Who Wants Cake? is thrilled to have received 14 nominations! here is what Donald V. Calamia had to say in his accompanying story:

With 15, the top-nominated theater is Performance Network Theatre – its fourth such honor in a row. But unlike previous years, Calamia noted, another company is nipping on its heels. “With 14 nominations, Who Wants Cake? generated a lot of buzz this year – both at The Ringwald and at the City Theatre with Evil Dead: The Musical, which was not eligible for an award this year – and it shows in our nominations. Which company will walk away with the most awards will be the talk of the town, I’m sure!” – Click HERE to read the entire article.

check out the list of all the nominations WWC? (and SweetLove Productions) got below and hopefully we’ll see you at the awards on August 24th at The Gem Theatre! (click HERE to see ALL the nominees!)

“…the drag of this Sordid Lives isn’t afraid to be funny, but goes for laughs on more than appearances alone. Even better, this gleefully trashy production reveals a pretty fine play beneath its falsies and mascara.”.
